Psx Iso To Eboot

Hi guys, i was wondering if it was possible to convert psn.pkg game files into iso files so i can store and play them from an external drive. Ive been searching for a few days but the results i get are either years old or not what im looking for. Im sure theres a way, and most likely a friendly guide to help me out, but i just cant find one. My internal hdd is almost full and id hate to have to purge downloaded games only to have to download them again later to play them. Perhaps theres a way to install them direct to an external drive instead and might be easier than converting to iso? Yes it can be done, you need to extract the kg file then set it up to look like a PS3 disc based game by adding the DISC.SFB and proper folder structure. Then you need to change the folder to the disc based folder name then re-sign the eboot.bin from NPDRM to a disc style then you will convert the pkg into a JB folder and you can simply make an ISO out of the folder.

Awesome i knew it could be done. Would you happen to have a link to a guide that can help walk me through the process, what programs i might need to download, or how to resign eboot's? I kinda follow your description but things like disc.sfb and npdrm are throwing me off. Ill get to researching this though and hope to find a decent walkthrough so i can get the gist of whats going on. Awesome i knew it could be done.

There is no guide I figured it out myself and I am suffering from a bad case of the flu or I would type one up. But all you need is ps3tools and I use Razorx's Eboot Resigner v1.21 to convert all my PSN games to JB folders.

Now that is interesting. So basically you can then launch your PSN games as a ISO disc through webMAN? I get the changing the folder structure, the disc.sfb file, but how would the game run without the.edat/rap (reactpsn is how I get my PSN games working) or does resigning the eboot with npdrm takes care of this? I think its because the process is taking the psn pkg file and then by changing some files and converting it to iso makes it act as if you have the actual disc or at least a backup copy of it, thereby bypassing the need for edat/rap's. Ps: get well atreyu and thanks for the help and nod in the right direction, gonna try out this process on a few pkg's i just got and see how it goes. Ok ive tried to do this using 'NPUB30468 Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection' because its a small file. Ive gotten the pkg extracted, but then when trying to resign eboot is where i get lost.

Convert pkg to iso ps3

It keeps saying unable to decrypt and prompts me to try again. I select cex when asked for cfw version, then ive tried resign to 4.30 and 3.55, but both cant decrypt. Am i skipping a step?

Razor says the program is easy to use and doesnt give a tutorial so im not exactly sure if im choosing the right options. Also not sure about how to create a disc.sfb file. Everything ive read says to get it from the actual game disc, but obviously i dont have it as its a psn download. Is it only possible to create a disc.sfb if an actual disc exists for the game instead it being download only? EDIT: got eboot to resign correctly (or at least thats the message i got) now just tracking down how to make the disc.sfb to test it out EDIT: well after reading that you can grab any disc.sfb, i tried that, made an iso ftp it over.says unsupported data when i mount in mM.

Tried another iso this time using the eboot.binorig file that was also given, same result. Am i supposed to change the contentID or param.sfo when using razor pkg tool, because i didnt. I believe i have the correct file structure as it matches the other iso's ive made before, the only things ive had to add are the param.sfo and eboot.bin, so not sure if im doing it right. Just as long as you create a PS3GAME folder that you extract the PKG file to or copy the pkg files to. My XMB was getting to be to cluttered so now all my PSN games are in my internal PS3 hdd0/GAMEZ folder and my regular games in GAMES, you don't have to do it that way, it is just easier to keep track of.

As far as creating an ISO, Atreyu pretty much gave you the tutorial but didn't number the steps. Just extract the pkg, find a eboot resigner you like, resign the EBOOT to NPDRM and them copy the contents to a PS#GAME folder, once that is done you can drag and drop it into on of the ISO creating programs that are available for the PC. What game were you thinking about doing? Yes i have followed atreyus advice. I extracted the pkg into a ps3game folder, resigned the eboot successfully (although that doesnt mean correctly) but not to npdrm, but as he said to change it from npdrm to disc based. I put the eboot into the usdir folder as it is on every other game i have and placed the created param.sfo in its place as well. After creating the iso from the new folder, i ftp it to my external drive where all my other iso's are, but when i mount it, it says unsupported data and gives a generic error code. My problem lies in what created the unsupported data iso and where i went wrong.

I started using the psn game listed above because its quite small and easier to convert and extract and ftp. Assuming i followed the outlined steps correctly above, the only place that i could have made an error is where the ps3game.sfb file is concerned.

Ive been searching the internet for hours trying to find where or how to make one. After coming across a post that said just take any.sfb from any game it doesnt matter thats what i used. So im not sure if the sfb file is a generic file or if it is game specific. I have the correct file structure, i have the resigned eboot and the created param file in there proper locations in the folder.

The things im concerned with now are the param.sfo file that was provided by the pkg extractor and whether it needs to be changed as there is a step in the unpacking process that gives it an option to change the param or the contentID file. And then the ps3game.sfb file and if i need a specific one or not. Free download full flute tone of thank you movie.

Click to expand.looks like you can easily convert ps1 to ps1classics. Can you guide me step by step? If you dont mind or if you have free time? So are you using the ps1classics tool? The one that reuploaded by aldostools above?

I read the instructions and i have some questions. On step 2 it says: Use pip to install ecdsa what does it means? How to do it? And on step 3: Create EBOOT.PBP from iso with PSX2PSP (Compression:0-None) upon opening the program and browsing each tab, theres lots of options/choices/checkbox. On the close/open parentheses it says 'Compression:0-None' so i dont need to change any of the default setting except for the compression that should be set to 0, am i right?

Code: Create EBOOT.PBP from iso with PSX2PSP (Compression:0-None) Place EBOOT.PBP in workbench directory Drop EBOOT.PBP into 'makepsoneclassicmetadata.exe' Open a terminal/command prompt and cd to psxclassics folder Take note of title id of your game Encrypt ISO.BIN.DAT: (Title id) makenpdata -e ISO.BIN.DAT ISO.BIN.EDAT 1 1 1 0 16 3 00 UP9000-SLUS01201 5 Replace EBOOT on a psx classic decrypted pkg (or use template) Replace ISO.BIN.EDAT on a psx classic decrypted pkg (or use template) Replace Pictures (or use template) Replace Param.SFO (or use template) Make PKG.
