Hey guys, If you've been following the soundtoys deals thus far, you should know that if you put your 4 'little' plugins towards the Soundtoys Bundle you can get it for just $255 (basically half the price!) But that upgrade discount is only available for another day, til Jan. 1st, so my question is; have any of you guys upgraded to the soundtoys 5 bundle?

Is it worth the price for those plugs? The Decapitator and Echoboy are regarded as the best plugins for their categories. I am in a toss-up right now, deciding if I should pull the trigger on it or not. Looks like such a good deal, but I am not sure.!! Thanks. I just saw the email saying that the special upgrade prices end on January 1st 2016 so I went ahead and purchased my upgrade to Soundtoys 5 for only $50.

Total no-brainer. Downloading the Suite as I type this. I already own Decapitator and Echoboy so I'm familiar with the Soundtoys quality. Really excited to finally own the full Suite now. I think $255 for the entire bundle is an amazing price, what are you waiting for?

Prices for Decapitator and Echoboy go down to about $90-99, which comes up to about $200 for both. $255 for both of these PLUS their 16 other plugins? I've read equally amazing things about FilterFreak, Phase Mistress, Primal Tap, Crystallizer, Radiator and Devil-Loc Deluxe. That's already 6 plugins. I'm not sure when you'd ever be able to get pricing like this ever again. Soundtoys really only run Black Friday sales so you'll be waiting a long time, and this 'Pay What You Wish' is a totally one-off thing.

So I fuck yeah. Damn man, your reasoning is extremely convincing haha. Could you say anything about the workflow that comes with the Soundtoys plugins? Are they easy to use? I've heard mixed feelings (albeit only a select few) from people saying that the soundtoys plugin interfaces are somewhat complicated to use in a workflow, although I think they look quite nice. Unfortunately I am busy the next couple days, and I only have just over 1 day to decide before the discount ends, it's not really a sufficient amount of time for me to demo them, although I know the plugins sound amazing, I would be basing a lot of the purchase off of other peoples reviews. People saying that the soundtoys plugin interfaces are somewhat complicated to use in a workflow Huh?

Soundtoys have the most intuitive GUIs around! For example, take a look at FabFilter's Saturn and then take a look at Decapitator, both are saturation type plugins. In my opinion, Saturn's GUI is overly complex. Same goes when you compare Fabfilter's Timeless versus Soundtoys's Echoboy (both delay plugins although Echoboy does a fuck ton more than Timeless could ever do). I've noticed that Soundtoys stuff only have a few knobs to tweak and that's it. Very straight forward.

I think what really sold me on Soundtoys was. In the video he says that he's gotten a lot of comments from other producers asking what hardware he uses.

He told them that everything is in the box (Decapitator and Echoboy). Actually you should watch the video because he also talks about Decapitator and Echoboy and how he uses them. Since your question was about workflow. Seriously dude.

Hey bobby,i used to have your exact aria pro guitar.i was in shock when I seen the pictures of your aria.mine was all black and yours probably was also,it looks like someone painted your guitar but I may be wrong.i have never seen another one like mine either.i would love to find another one.i really loved my old aria, its been over 20 years since I sold it to a guy in Maryland.if you want to sell your please look me up id love to have it,it has sentimental value to me. Checked out this thread because I too have the Aria pro 2 'green sunburst' into black. Please email me id love to chat and even talk on the phone about it. Aria pro ii guitars. My email is mikebrockwell at yahoo dot com.

$255 for the bundle is insane and you won't see prices like that in a long while. My opinion is 'meh'. My go-to for mixing is the iZotope stuff, I own Alloy 2, Ozone 7 and Trash 2. I also own the IK Multimedia 670 Vintage Compressor, Black 76 compressor and British Channel (which is basically an SSL channel strip emulation).

The IRC-IV mode on Ozone 7's Limiter destroys the Pro-L. Pro-C2 looks cool but Alloy2 already has 2 very good compressors, and since Alloy lets you multi-band everything, I don't even need Pro-MB. IZotope is another company that I really love and will continue to support. I really love Alloy because it's an all in one plugin and most of the time I would rather just have one plugin in the channel strip than 5. But like I said, I also have the IK Multimedia options which are very good plugins that are severely underrated. It's okay though because sometimes it's cool to do your own thing and NOT use the same plugins as everybody else.

Virtual gear counts too right? Here's my list. I probably missed a few. I'm a junkie for this stuff. There's no possible way I could remember all of the plug ins that I have.

I think that I may well have just about every free AU that's available, as well as those I've paid for. Off the top of my head, though: MOTU DP 7 native plug ins (I really like Pro Verb, MW Leveler, and MW EQ) Airwindows Arturia Minimoog King Dubby Delay Nomad Factory Cytomic Native Instruments (Reaktor, Absynth, Classic Keys, Kore) Michael Norris Audio Damage Destroy FX Expert Sleepers Ohm Force u-He (Uhbik is fantastic) Togu Audio Line.and so many others. I'm pretty happy with what I have, and even though I'm tempted on occasion, I figure I ought to learn how to use what I have before I even consider buying anything else. More than enough most used Waves Platinum Sonnox EQ stuff Otto Toon Massey Plugs - All of 'em SoundToys - Got 'em all use the filters a lot Digi - Use their delays all the time, pitch when Otto Toon just ain't the right thing Reason - Never used it stand alone but, as a plug, all the time in PT Cranesong Phoenix - Vocals just suck less with it Altiverb gonna look into lexicon lxp but they don't have the best track record of software support.

Gotta 480L and a PCM 70 I'm thinking of selling and going one more step ITB. I was just thinking about this, but in terms of what plugs MATTER, not just placeholders.

For example, I'm not committed to any particular eq at the moment. Here are are some that I really use and am unlikely to switch out: Stillwell Major Tom compressor - the 'make everything sound good' button! I reflexively add it to any vocal, acoustic guitar, or bass tracks. Spitfish - useful de-esser Redline Reverb - I don't use any other reverbs now, not even convolution Line6 Pod Farm - I don't use it much for final production, but I love to track with it and then re-amp. Schwa Spectro - Spectral editor, which I use mostly for removing mic pops. Rarely need it, but when I do, it's invaluable. NI Kore Player - So many useful sounds there!

It's my first pass for finding the right synths or samples. I love the string bass patch. NI B4 - By FAR the best organs I've heard. NI Acoustik Piano - Pianos good enough for me. NI Electrik Piano - Whirly Wurlies! Izotope Ozone - Cheap and cheerful mastering. I'm looking for software for a little home studio.

Any suggestions? Right now I have an MI Audio Firwire Interface.
